Then I was told about the XDJ-RX. I don't have a laptop yet for Serrato so that would have to be included onto the cost of the SX2 but now I'm thinking the XDJ-RX could be the better purchased. It's closer to the kit your more likely to come across if you're playing somewhere else, and it doesn't need the laptop so is ultimately more compact. The channels are switchable between internal mode and line/phono inputs too. It’s at this point that I once again ponder the possibility of Rekordbox becoming a full standalone DJ software solution, as I can’t think why you’d want to plug turntables, let alone CDJs into this, if only because much of the appeal of the XDJ-RX is rendered. Pioneer XDJ-RX all-in-one Rekordbox Solution with large, dual-deck screen. Now with Full version of Rekordbox DJ Software! The Pioneer XDJ-RX is a digital console that integrates two digital players, a built in monitor and a mixer. DJs can use the Pioneer rekordbox software via a USB storage devise to drive.
I have been having issues with Scratch live, starting off with not being able to connect both sides in rel mode, could only get one side working, had to play internal on the other deck. I also have problems getting the software to recognise the hardware was connected as well, thought it could be a usb cord issue??
But anyway, with that aside, I was mid gig, internal mode playing when it crashed completely, even the rel mode on the other deck refused to budge. I thought it could be the SL1 hardware? But then I just tested it at home after not using it for about 2 weeks and it all works perfectly fine like nothing happened! Playing in relative mode on both decks for about an hour without a single hitch.
I haven't had any problems at home, only on gigs out and about on other equipment other than my own. Was convinced my SL1 was stuffed, but now i'm not so sure?
Anyone able to help please?? I have also tried changed rca and isb cables but doesn't seem to help anything at all. I use cdjs btw, running the latest version of Scratch Live too. TIA

- Streaming is never a serious option imho. USB-connected laptop with RekordBox DJ on it would be much preferred.I am not too familiar with your controller. Bit dazed by your remark that tags are in the comment field. Izotope rx-7 spectral repair tutorial. In which case they are not tags, they are (duh) the comment field. I think RekordBox let’s you export whatever column you want, so if you export the comment column you should (this seems logical, but again from a theoretical point of view) be able to see the comments on your XDJ-RX.Keep in mind that RekordBox and RekordBox DJ are two different things. In order to DJ with DJ software and the RX as a DJ-controller, you will need RB DJ (switch in the software from Export to Performance mode).Other than that, I hope some of the RX-owning members here can help you out a bit further. On the XDJ-RX you have to press Menu -> Mixer Mode -> Midi , then it’s ready for usb connection with rekordbox.
Have you got your Rekordbox DJ (Performance mode) lisence? It was attached to the RX in the last month…Still don’t understand why you want to use this as an controller, the whole point with the RX is the standalone player. 😉 - Posts
